We have updated our suspension spacers kit!
LRP suspension spacers are compatible with Land Rover Discovery 3, Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport L320 and can be installed on both vehicles with air suspension and vehicles with traditional spring suspension. With the new MKII version, we have optimized the spacer’s height, bringing it from 50mm (1.5“) of the MKI version to 38mm (1.5”) of the new one. The reduced height still ensures emergency drive while reducing the mechanical stress risk during daily use, both on the road but especially off-road.
In vehicles equipped with air suspension, suspension spacers are recommended for all those who, running with larger tires, want to be sure that in case of failure and drop or air suspension, can continue to drive without the body touch on the wheels. Please note, suspension spacers only will not raise the vehicle as the height is always determined electronically by the height sensors! In order to raise the vehicle these must be tricked out by installing our Lift Rods (+2.5″) or our Easy Lift suspension module (set at +35mm or higher).
Therefore, 2 kits are available:
- “Basic” Kit: contains the suspension spacer and the necessary to extend the air pipe lines. It is intended for those who have already installed Lift Rods on the car or already have (or want to buy separately) the Easy Lift suspension module
- “Full“ Kit: consists of the Basic kit plus our +2.5” Lift Rods
In summary, the advantages of installing on Air Suspension are:
- Driving even in an emergency! If the car drops on the suspensions pads, the body will not touch on the tires!
- Despite the lift achieved with Lift Rods or Easy Lift, having less air inside the air suspension means more comfort
NOTE: with this kit installed will not be possible to lower the car to Access Height because the car will be raised in extended mode
In vehicles equipped with conventional coil spring suspension (as factory or converted), LRP suspension spacers instead directly provide a +38mm (+1.5″) lift.
Again, 2 different kits are available:
- “COIL Spring“ kit: contains the entire spacers kit to lift +1,5″ both axles
- “COIL Spring RA” kit: contains spacers to lift +1.5″ the rear axle only
The “Coil Spring RA” kit is suitable for all those cars that have a lower rear end. This often happens after the air to coil conversion or for heavy “Overlanding” set up.
To reach the main goal of treatment against corrosion, the LRP suspension spacers, before being powder coated, are subjected to a primer painting by cataphoresis process.
